LGO Markets adheres to a policy of strict compliance with all applicable rules and regulations governing its exchange dealings and operations. Not only does LGO Markets’ technical architecture take into account the current regulatory landscape, but its team persistently engages in open dialogue with regulators.
LGO Markets’ Compliance Department has developed detailed and comprehensive internal procedures aimed at maintaining the highest level of integrity on the platform, allowing it to quickly identify and remediate any manipulative activity. It has partnered with several vendors with established track records in the industry in Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance to ensure only qualified institutions and individuals are onboarded and granted access to trade on LGO Markets’ platform (see Partners Description).
Pursuant to its commitment to compliance, LGO Markets has applied for a BitLicense with the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). Until its BitLicense is approved, it will limit its clientele to non-NY-based institutions and residents, making a determination of residency at the outset. Additionally, through its affiliate LGO Securities, LGO Markets is applying for FINRA membership and as an Alternative Trading System (ATS) with the SEC. Once approved, it will permit LGO Markets to list tokens while maintaining compliance with U.S. securities laws.
